About
Built on Family, Driven by Craft
Over 15 years of hands-on experience. Trained by his father. Now bringing that same standard to every home across Sussex.
The Story Behind Coastal
Harvey Banks grew up around tiling. As a teenager, he started working alongside his father at Banks & Co Ceramics, learning the trade from the ground up — mixing adhesive, cutting tiles, and understanding what separates a good finish from a great one.
Over 10–15 years of working side by side, Harvey developed an eye for detail and a standard of workmanship that only comes from real, hands-on experience passed down through family. From intricate Victorian hallway restorations to full bathroom renovations, he's done it all.
Now, Harvey has taken everything he learned and built Coastal Tiling & Floors — his own company, serving homeowners across Sussex with the same care and craftsmanship his dad taught him.

Your Home Matters
As a family man himself, Harvey treats every home like his own — clean, careful, and respectful.
More Than a Job
For Harvey, tiling isn't just a trade — it's a passion he's carried since he was old enough to hold a trowel. There's nothing quite like stepping back at the end of a job and seeing a space completely transformed.
Outside of work, Harvey is a husband and dad to a one-year-old. Starting Coastal was about building something for his family — carrying on the values his dad instilled in him and creating a business he can be proud of.
Every project matters. Whether it's a small splashback or a full bathroom renovation, Harvey brings the same level of care and attention to detail. That's the Banks way.
